Garraway Hotel
The Garraway Hotel is a business class hotel on Roseau’s central waterfront facing the cruise ship pier. The hotel sits on the original site of Roseau’s first commercial establishment and for many years the address here was No 1 Bay Front, Roseau. The street was renamed Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard in 2003 in honor of the Caribbean’s and Dominica’s first female Prime Minister.

Situated in the historic French Quarter of Roseau, the Garraway Hotel is adjacent to the Old Market where slaves were once bartered and sold in the nineteenth century. It is surrounded by an eclectic array of classic Dominican wooden shops and homes. Most rooms enjoy a view of the ocean. The Fort Young hotel is directly across the street.

Rooms are spacious and straight-forward with air conditioning, cable television, and telephones. The “Ole Jetty Bar” in the lobby is a friendly meeting point for locals and travelers, and the 2nd floor Balisier restaurant features a variety of international and creole-inspired menus.

Travelers looking for basic and economical in-town accommodation with the convenience of the Fort Young hotel will find the Garraway to be an excellent alternative.
