The Tamarind Tree Hotel & Restaurant sits atop a 100-foot cliff on Dominica’s west coast with beautiful views over the Caribbean Sea, the Bay of Salisbury and Morne Diablotin.

Tamarind Tree Hotel is a pleasing mid-tier hotel under Swiss-German management featuring 15 double rooms with ensuite bathrooms and communal porches with terrific ocean views. The nine standard rooms on the ground and 1st floor are equipped with either one double or two single beds. The six superior rooms on the 2nd floor have one kingsize or two twin beds. Four family suites consist of two adjoining rooms with a communicating door and can accommodate up to six persons. Each room has a spacious closet, refrigerator and a ceiling fan. Superior rooms have air conditioning. Water is solar heated and WiFi is available throughout the property. A family-friendly pool and jacuzzi are a perfect place to relax, as is the nearby beach.

Roseau, the capital, is 12-miles/20 km to the south; Portsmouth is 12-miles/20 km to the north, about a 30-minute drive each way. To Canefield Airport, north of Roseau, it is a 20-minute drive and to Melville Hall Airport in the northeast it is a 1 hour and 15 minute drive. The beach of Macoucherie is a three minute walk away and the beach of Salisbury, where the dive center East Carib Dive is located, is at seven minutes walking distance. To the village of Salisbury it is a 15 minute walk.
