4 Hours

About this trip

Georgetown’s Botanical Gardens is located in the heart of the city and is home to over 200 species of birds. Among these are some key species including the Blood-coloured Woodpecker, White-bellied Piculet and the rare Festive Parrot.

A short walk on the trails in the back of the gardens with our expert guides offers sightings of Yellow-chinned Spinetail, Black-crested Antshrike, Silver-beaked Tanager, Buff-breasted Wren, Golden-spangled Piculet and Ashy-headed Greenlet. Other common species include the Snail Kite, Gray Hawk, Pearl Kite, Carib Grackle, Red-bellied and Red-shouldered Macaws. You may even want to take a break from birding to feed some West Indian Manatees in the ponds and canals throughout the gardens.
