Anonymous I am a rotator with an oil major, and have been staying at Marriott Georgetown every other month for just over a year now. I have experienced many positives during my stay, although unfortunately there were some negatives too. The service and staff have been excellent, and although I cannot mention all the names, there have been a few that stood out for me, namely, Daywanttie, Pamela, Indera at Reception; Alicia Main restaurant; Mona, Cary, Mercia, Deandrea, Stephanie in the Executive lounge (I apologize if I left out some names, but you know who you are). I absolutely love the rooms, firm bed with lovely pillows. Excellent amenities. However, on the downside is that the lounge took away our privileges of a hot meal, replacing it with cocktail savories. Due to our long stay as basically "permanent residents" all we are asking for is a decent meal after a long day's work. This is my only negative, otherwise I am enjoying my stay and would recommend anyone traveling to Georgetown to consider staying at the Marriott (pricing a bit high, and rates inconsistent...something for management to work on). Reasonable This is a relatively new hotel, having been built in 2015. Rooms are quite nice, clean and well equipped. Bed is comfortable with ample pillows and bed linen. Bathroom is well appointed with adequate towels etc. Complimentary toiletries are skimpy (if you forgot your toothbrush, razor or comb, you are in trouble).
There is only one restaurant but I never found it overcrowded. The food is good but not exceptional. The a la carte menu options are somewhat limited and expensive. Buffet is always an option and for dinner each night's cuisine is under a different theme.
Staff could be better trained. Simple errors can be returning to your room to find that they forgot to leave fresh wash rags or wanting to serve yourself at the buffet but finding that plates have run out and not been replaced.
The pool is huge is huge and well maintained with two spa pools adjoining it. The nearby patio bar & grill is a nice place to relax.
Room service is quick. When you place an order you will be told that it will be delivered in 45 minutes (which is much too long) but every time I ordered it was delivered in 15 minutes.
Overall, not a bad place to stay but could be much better with greater attention to detail, staff training and service delivery.
It is generally regarded as the best hotel in Georgetown. It had better watch out. With the wealth to be generated from its new found oil reserves, many new hotels are likely to be built that will give it a good run for its money.

Excellence in Leadership! I fell sick in the month of December 2019 and as I was communicating via the Marriott app, the agent literally was there every step of the way to ensure my health and strength was restored by ensuring that I got coconut water and even offering assistance in every way possible.
Marsha even took the time to call my room and spoke to me even though I had no one to be physically there for me.
I returned in February 27, 2020 and this beautiful young woman Marsha came and greeted us with love. We felt at home even though we were in a foreign country with foreign people. I decided to share my experience with my son in Guyana and he was completely amazed at the excellence demonstrated through this young woman ensuring that his every need was met, in spite of what was taking place in Guyana during the election. She continued to remain calm and ensure his safety and safe passage to his desired destination.
I truly thank you Marsha from the depths of my heart. You have left an indelible impact on my life with your heart of gold.
God bless you richly in Jesus Christ!

clean Very clean and the property is in good shape thanks to a dedicated hotel staff. Not always quiet on the weekends they a dj who is really into his effects as opposed to the music and it is loud. My room was above the outside dj and there was no going to sleep early after a rough week. Saturday same thing but it was a loud band. Food is ok but the wait staff are never around more than once Ihad to ask multiple times for my check so I could leave
