Trip Overview

Every Sunday evening, Georgetown’s Seawall comes alive as families, courting couples, and friends promenade along the seawall, enjoying the Atlantic sea-breeze. The narrow strip becomes a hive of pop-up cocktail bars, street food vendors, blaring Caribbean music and parties spilling out of the trunks of cars.

This excursion takes you into the heart of the scene, visiting various bars and enjoying street food with your guide, who knows all the best places. We will also visit other local bars around the city, looking for what is popular, traditional or unusual. Every Sunday is a new experience, tailored around the group and the level of immersion into the local culture they wish to enjoy.

Meet & Greet with Your Local Guide

Meet at a pre-arranged, easily accessible central Georgetown location (e.g., a prominent landmark or hotel lobby).
Briefing by your knowledgeable local guide about the evening’s itinerary and an introduction to Guyanese culture. Discuss group preferences for immersion level.

Scenic Drive/Walk to the Seawall

Enjoy a pleasant drive or walk (depending on the meeting point) to the Georgetown Seawall, taking in the city’s architecture and atmosphere.

Seawall Extravaganza - The Heart of the Scene

Promenade & People-Watching: Begin by strolling along the narrow strip of the seawall, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere as families, couples, and friends enjoy the Atlantic breeze.
Street Food Adventure: Your guide will lead you to the best pop-up food stalls. Sample a variety of local street food delicacies – think doubles, roti, fried fish, and more.
Cocktail Bar Hopping: Experience the “pop-up cocktail bars” along the seawall, trying refreshing local drinks as recommended by your guide.
Music & Mingle: Immerse yourself in the lively Caribbean music scene. Observe or join in the spontaneous parties spilling from car trunks – a true local experience! Your guide will ensure you’re in the best spots for this.

Local Bar Exploration - Beyond the Seawall

Venture with your guide to other local bars around the city.
Popular & Traditional: Discover establishments that are popular with locals, perhaps trying traditional Guyanese beverages or just enjoying the typical bar ambiance.
Unusual Finds: Depending on the evening and the group’s interest, your guide might lead you to a new and unique bar experience, offering a different perspective on Georgetown’s nightlife.

9:00 PM onwards: :

Farewell & Drop-off

Reflect on the evening’s experiences and enjoy a final drink if desired.
Your guide will assist with transportation back to your accommodation or a central drop-off point, ensuring a safe and comfortable end to your evening.
