Day 1 : Saturday: Arrival in Georgetown & Cara Lodge
  • Arrive at Cheddi Jagan International Airport and transfer to Cara Lodge in Georgetown.
  • Check into the historic Cara Lodge, built in the 1840s and a former home of Georgetown’s first Lord Mayor, known for hosting dignitaries.
  • Overnight at Cara Lodge.
Day 02 : Sunday: Birding, Kaieteur Falls & Evening Options
  • Optional Morning Birding: Early morning pickup for birdwatching at Georgetown Botanical Gardens, with chances to see rare species like the Blood-colored Woodpecker and feed manatees.

  • Transfer to Eugene F. Correia International Airport for a scenic flight over the rainforest to Kaieteur Falls.

  • Kaieteur Falls Visit: Explore Kaieteur Falls, the world’s highest free-falling waterfall, learning about its legend and unique ecosystem (Golden frog, Guiana Cock-of-the-rock, Kaieteur Swifts).

  • Return to Eugene F. Correia International Airport and transfer back to Georgetown.

  • Optional Evening Seawall Experience: Explore Georgetown’s lively seawall with pop-up bars, street food, and Caribbean music.

  • Optional Dinner at Aagman Indian Restaurant: Enjoy an authentic Mughlai Indian dining experience at Aagman.

Day 03 : Monday: Journey to Atta Rainforest Lodge & Canopy Walkway
  • Transfer to Eugene F. Correia International Airport for a flight to Fair View Airstrip.
  • Transfer from Fair View airstrip along a trail known for potential jaguar sightings and diverse bird species.
  • Arrive at Atta Rainforest Lodge, located near the Iwokrama Canopy Walkway.
  • Explore the Iwokrama Canopy Walkway, with suspension bridges and platforms offering views 30 meters above ground.
  • Spot birds like the Crimson Fruitcrow and Black Curassow around the lodge clearing.
  • Overnight at Atta Rainforest Lodge.

Day 04 : Tuesday: Iwokrama Canopy Walkway & Night Wildlife
  • Early morning return to the canopy walkway for birdwatching, with potential sightings of various hummingbirds, toucans, cotingas, and monkeys.
  • Enjoy wildlife and birdwatching walks on trails around the lodge, looking for rare species like the Rufous-winged Ground-cuckoo.
  • Experience night walks around the canopy walkway, with chances to see White-winged Potoo and other nocturnal animals.
  • Overnight at Atta Rainforest Lodge.

Day 05 : Wednesday: Guianan Cock-of-the-rock & Surama Village
  • Enjoy the dawn chorus from the canopy walkway, followed by breakfast.
  • Transfer to Corkwood for a trail walk to hopefully see the vibrant Guianan Cock-of-the-rock and learn about medicinal plants.
  • Continue to Surama, an Indigenous Macushi community and home to the Surama Eco Lodge.
  • Receive a warm welcome and take a guided walk to observe forest and bird life.
  • Evening educational walk to observe nocturnal wildlife in the forest.
  • Overnight at Surama Eco-lodge.

Day 06 : Thursday: Surama Mountain Climb & Burro Burro River Trip
  • Pre-dawn walk across the savannah and climb Surama Mountain for panoramic views (optional, alternatives available).
  • Return to the lodge for lunch.
  • Walk across the savannah and through the rainforest to the Burro Burro River.
  • Paddle along the Burro Burro River with guides, looking for Giant River Otters, Tapir, and various monkey species.
  • Return to the lodge for sunset.
  • Overnight at Surama Eco-lodge.

Day 7 : Friday: Departure from Surama & Georgetown Culinary Experience
  • Enjoy a dawn rainforest experience or relax before breakfast.
  • Vehicle transfer from Surama Eco Lodge to Lethem.
  • Scheduled flight to Eugene F. Correia International Airport, then transfer back to Georgetown.
  • Evening Culinary Experience: Enjoy a unique and personal dinner prepared by Guyanese Chef Eon John ("the Singing Chef") in his garden, featuring updated classical Guyanese cuisine and a serenade.
  • Overnight at Cara Lodge.
Day 8 : Saturday: Bourda Market, Georgetown City Tour & Demerara River
  • Early start with Chef Delven Adams for breakfast at a local stand and a guided tour of Bourda Market, exploring local products, fish, meat, and bush medicine stalls.
  • Enjoy a mix of vehicle and walking tour of Georgetown's historic sites, including the National Museum, Walter Roth Museum, City Hall, St. George's Cathedral, and Botanical Gardens (with manatee feeding).
  • Lunch at Chef Delven's Backyard Café, with the option to observe meal preparation.
  • Optional Demerara Historical River Tour: Take a river taxi, cruise the Demerara River, learn about waterfront history, see the Demerara Harbour Bridge, and watch Scarlet Ibis and other birds roosting at sunset.
  • Overnight at Cara Lodge.
Day 9 : Sunday: Departure

Pickup and transfer to Cheddi Jagan International Airport for your departing flight.
